I tried to enjoy this run.  Will and I had fun looking for pumpkins, dogs, and hawkeyes.  We saw a couple of each.  I was slow, but more enjoyable than the other runs with Will and the jogging stroller this month.

I ran by myself this afternoon.  I was great for the shade in the woods.  I was very slow and enjoyed the run very much.  At first all I could feel is my stomach stretching and bouncing and my knees aching.  That lasted for the first two miles.  And then the last mile my hips were achy.

So I've been thinking a lot about Sarah.   I knew she was tough, but her toughness has raised twenty billion fold in my eyes.  Sasha has said "she is not a super-athlete," but definitely there is something super about Sarah.  Maybe it's a mental toughness and great pregnancy genes that make it possible to be having her sixth baby and running 109 miles or more her first six months of pregnancy.  Not to mention running the entire seventh month and racing in her eighth month.  (I have no doubt William will love to run.  Running will be an instinctive part of his life.  Maybe my Will will love Intermediate Algebra.)

Anyway, Sarah, I think you are amazing.  You are a super runner mother.  And I am so glad I can call you my friend.

I'm due April 11th-ish, so I am told.  I'm twelve weeks on Saturday.  My mileage won’t look anything like Sarah’s.  And that’s okay, because I’m not Sarah.  (Maybe when I have my sixth baby, but I am not sure I’ll make it to six.)  My goal is exercise at least thirty minutes six days a week for the entire pregnancy.  I signed up for the four mile race instead of the 10 miler in the Indian Summer Classic.  I also signed up for the four miler at Thanksgiving in Ohio.  I plan on walking it.

I ran with Katrina.  I thought I was slow, but Katrina said we didn't run slow at all.  The last few hills were tough.  I got a cramp and had to stop, so we walked the last half a mile--making the run five miles instead of five and a half.  It was very good we stopped then.  I didn't realize my hips were not doing so well until we stopped.  My hips were achy all morning.
