I ran by a couple guys fishing. One was reeling in a fish as I passed. I was very curious about what they were catching. It looked like a trout to me. (However, I think most fresh water fish look like trout.) So, I turned around and asked. I thought they didn't hear me, so I asked again. The guy said the same thing again. So I figured he must be telling me what kind of fish it was. I asked him to repeat what he said. He repeated it again. I still didn't hear him and by now I am sure I've scared all the fish away. Finally, I got that he said, "A small crappie." "Oh"--I had no idea what kind of fish was. I hurried away to stop from embarrassing myself further. I hope I didn't bother them too much.

I looked up crappie when I got home. Supposedly they are "sought after for their fantastic flavor and fun of catching them." You learn something new every day.

Hey there! I just read your 1/2 marathon race report from last month (I know, I'm WAY behind), and WOW!!! What an amazing time! Looks like your tempo runs really paid off. You are my hero!

Oh I wish I had been there. I can just see your cute little sparkly face when you asked them. I wouldn't have been much help though since I'm deaf from kids and don't know much about fish.

Wanna hear a funny story? The Bishop...need I say more..you know it's going to be funny...told me today ..I think his exact words were, "You are stupendous. You are always naughty (I think he meant kind of spunky and sarcastic) and I love that." This was at the end of my temple recommend interview. I think I was being naughty because I was rolling my eyes at the stake's policy of having interviews only twice a month. (I guess I was spoiled in our other stake...it was twice a week).

Anyway..then later that evening he told Br. Jensen to watch out for me because I have a backhand like Sis. Spencer. I think that also meant I'm spunky..or something. Anyway...he's a riot. I'm glad he likes that quality in me and didn't take my recommend away and tell me to behave myself.
