Will and I saw two deer with very long legs and two beautiful hawks on the run.  We also saw a man in a Civic roll down his window and stare at us.  That was a little scary.  I didn't have my glasses on, but I stared back.  Quickly, I decided to head back towards home and was very grateful to be running on a busy road.  Nothing happened, but I kept looking over my shoulder just in case.  Probably he didn't mean anything by it--maybe he was also going for a run.  But, it's better to err on the side of caution.

Scary! I was chased a few weeks ago and I haven't gone back to that area since! Weird that he did it while you were with your husband! Weirdo. Good job on the run!

Chased? Now that's scary. Actually, Will is my fifteen month old son.

Creepy! But the deer-sighting sounds great! Unlike my dog-sighting tonight! Great job with 6 miles!

You can never be too careful. Best to mix up the time and location of your runs if you can! Thanks for your tips for staying sane during Thanksgiving. My load just got a little lighter. Although my parents are staying at MY house- my sis-in-law is actually going to have the t-day meal at HER house- yah! I will of course bring & help her prepare food- but its a relief that I'm not having the big meal here! Good luck w/ your parents and your 5k! I decided to do a 5k later this month too.

Well I'm going to give that stretch a try and see if it helps as soon as I figure it out. (I will) As for me, don't worry, I've almost decided that the hip is IT band but not a 100% but I have been stretching like crazy and it seems to help. I think that I'm just one of these people that needs aggresive stretches... I hope. So far none of the pain has stopped the running and the hip has been months so it must not be too serious just annoying at times. As for worrying about someone how about you? I like Christi's advice, mix it up and vary the routes if possible and get some pepper spray or a tazer... are they legal for privte citizens? Just be careful yourself!
