My mom always said, "Rain before 7, done by 11."

Well, the freezing rain missed the 7 am deadline, so it "iced" all day.  Seriously this freezing rain is something else.  It's kind of like snow.  It layers the ground in white; it makes the roads slippery.  But, when it hits your face, it's like tons of sharp, metal tooth picks.  It HURTS!  (I gained this experience by taking the trash to the dumpster.)

I could have run today, but I didn't corrindate with my husband, Lars.  I set up a run with a friend this morning.  I forgot to tell Lars about it and he ended having a group meeting at the same time.  If I had told Lars what I had set up on Wednesday, I would have gotten in my freezing rain run.

Oh well.  Next week will be better.  I hope the new afternoon run time will work out well for Will and me.  I did lift today.  I did shoulders, biceps, triceps, back, abs, and lots of lunges.

I am grateful for all the comments from Tuesday.  I've been sewing every evening for a couple hours trying to make headway on Christmas presents.  I've made progress, but I'm not finished yet.  So, I imagine my blogging will continue to be sporadic.  Happy December everyone!

Freezing rain is the worst! We had that when we lived in Ann Arbor. Be careful out there when you drive! You'd need a motorcycle helmet to run outside in that stuff.

I was wondering what you've been up to...you're being a Christmas Elf.

Benjamin is a stinker...he opened the box that came in the mail with "Santa's sugar-free Candy Canes" that Santa was going to hang on the tree for a surprise...sigh..I have now told him to please not open anything that comes in the mail in the future. I have to admit that freezing rain may be the one type of weather I couldn't run in. Happy Christmas time..happy sewing!!

Hey Crumpy,

It's funny to think that you're finally experiencing the same, awful midwest falls and winters that we are, but only a day before us! I'm glad Lars is there to moderate your running insanity. I hope you come and visit soon and that I get to see you! Let me know when you'll be in OH-IO!

Hey long time no see! Sounds like you are busy with some fun Christmas projects and fighting the freezing cold! Good luck with that I don't think that I could push myself out the door in that!!!
